Pentref ar y briffordd  rhwng Caernarfon, ein tref agosaf, a Llandygai, sy'n arwain at Llandudno a Chaer, yw Bethel.  Mae 4 kilometr o Gaernarfon a 7 kilometr o Fangor.

Sefydlwyd y pentref mewn ardal amaethyddol a bu twf i'r pentref yn dilyn datblygiad chwareli Llanberis gan ei bod wedi ei lleoli wrth ochr y rheilffordd oedd yn cario llechi o Dinorwig i'w hallfori o'r Felinheli.

Mae'r pentref yn rhan o un o ardaloedd harddaf Cymru ac fe'i lleolir 10 kilomedr o droed yr Wyddfa.

Rhenir Bethel yn dri, sef Saron, Penrhos a Bethel ei hun. Yn y pentref fe geir llythyrdy a siop mewn un, siop gwerthu popeth, garej gwerthu ceir, cigydd, tri chapel a thafarn.

Yn naturiol bu newidiadau mawr yn natblygiad a bywyd y pentref yn enwedig yn sgil diddymu'r diwydiant chwareli.

Bethel is a village on the main road between Caernarfon, our nearest town, and Llandygai, which leads on to Llandudno and Chester. It is 4 kilometres from Caernarfon and 7 kilometres from Bangor.

The village was founded in an agricultural area but grew following the development of the slate quarries in Llanberis and was situated on the railway line carrying slates from Dinorwig for export by sea from Felinheli.

The village is situated 10 kilometres from the foot of Snowdon in one of the most picturesque areas of Wales.

Bethel is divided into three, namely Saron, Penrhos and Bethel itself. In the village we have a post office which doubles as a shop, a general store, a garage which sells cars, a butcher, three chapels and a pub.

Great changes have naturally occurred to the village over the years, particularly so following the closure of the quarries.
