Hello, my name is Robin Jones and I am 7 years old. My father's name is Steven Jones and he is a very special artist. Here is a picture of me that my father painted when I was 20 months old.
My father was born in Colwyn Bay, but after studying at Wrexham College of Art he moved to London in 1981. Whilst in London he worked as an illustrator for clients who included Readers Digest, Golf Monthly, BBC, Barclays Bank, Midland Bank, Jaguar Cars, Walls Ice Cream, Guinness, Marks & Spencer, The Sunday Telegraph and many others.
In 1985 my father moved to Bethel to live, and by now, The Steven Jones Gallery, at Felinheli, is famous throughout Britain, if not the world. Monet, Sargant, Morisot and the Newlyn artists of Cornwall have greatly influenced my father's work. My father's children, the three of us, and the natural beauty of the countryside and beaches which surround us have also influenced his work.
If you would like further information about my father's work and paintings then please contact The Steven Jones Gallery on phone/fax (01248) 671459.
