Here is a picture of the National Slate Museum of Wales which is situated in the splendour of Dinorwig Quarry. The Quarry dates as far back as the nineteenth century, and with considerable financial backing from the National Lottery, was recently updated. Workshops, iron and brass foundry, the smithy, the train shed, and the water mechanism used to make tools for obtaining the slates can be seen in the museum.
