Eglwys y Santes Fair yw adeilad hynaf Pentraeth ac mae tua 600 o flynyddoedd oed. Cafodd rhannau ohonni ei atgyweirio yn 1882. Saif yr eglwys ar y groesffordd lle mae'r ffordd o Amlwch i Borthaethwy yn croesi'r ffordd o Fiwmares i Langefni. Efallai fod Seiriol wedi cerdded heibio ar ei ffordd i gyfarfodei gyfaill Cybi.

Darlun o Eglwys Pentraeth gan Sparrow.Cafodd ei gyhoeddi gan S.Hooper ar Mehefin 2ail,178. Mae gwaith cerrig da iawn wedi ei wneud ar gyntedd yr Eglwys. Defnyddiwyd carreg galch a thywodfaen i'w adeiladau . Ar y to mae llechi. Dyma y tri fath o garreg a welir amlaf ar yr eglwys. Yn waliau'r eglwys gwelir llawer o garreg calch. Weithiau mae ffosil o gragen glan y mor i'w weld ynddi . Mae llaewer o chwareli calchfaen yn yr ardal , yn Nhraeth Coch ac ym Mhenmon ac efallai mae cerrig o'r chwareli hyn a ddefnyddiwyd i adeiladu Eglwys Pentraeth.

Fel y rhan fwyaf or eglwysi Ynys Mon,eglwys fechan syml ydy eglwys Pentraeth.Nid oedd y plwyf yn blwyf cyfoethog ac felly ni allai'r eglwys fforddio talu i adeiladu twr uchel. Yng nhorff yr eglwys mae lle i 180 eistedd. Dim ond ers 1847 mae seddau yn y corff. Yn Eglwys Pentraeth fel ym mhob eglwys arall mae'r pulpud ar yr ochr chwith o gorff yr eglwys. Mae gwydr lliw ym mhob un o ffenestri 'r eglwys ond mae ambell un yn arbennig o liwgar , fel y ffenestr a roddwyd yn rodd i gofio am Claud Panton Vivian ,- 'In memory of Claud Panton Vivian , Captain Royal Horse Artillary of Plas Gwyn, Pentraeth , aged 24 who gave his life at the Battle for Caen, July 1944.' Mae sawl carreg goffa tu mewn i'r eglwys i gofio am bobl Pentraeth a fu farw. Mae'r rhan fwyaf ohonynt wedi eu cerfio allan o farmor e.e. carreg goffa i Hugh Williams, Ty Fry a fu farw Tachwedd 28ain, 1768 a'i fab John a fu farw Mawrth 5ed 1771. Person y Plwyf ar hyn o bryd yw'r Parchedig Deiniol Prys sydd yn ymwelydd cyson a'r ysgol.

Saint Mary’s Church is the oldest building in Pentraeth and it is around 600 years old. Parts of it were repaired in 1882. The church stands on the crossroads where the road from Amlwch to Menai Bridge crosses the road from Beaumaris to Llangefni. Perhaps Seiriol walked past on his way to meet his friend, Cybi.

A picture of Pentraeth Church by Sparrow. It was published by S. Hooper on June 2nd, 1780. Very good stonework has been carried out on the Church foyer. Limestone and sandstone were used to build it. The roof is of slate. These are the three kinds of stone mostly seen on the church. In the church walls much limestone can be seen. Sometimes a fossil of a seashell can be seen in it. There are many limestone quarries in the district, at Red Wharf Bay and Penmon and perhaps it was stones from these quarries that were used to build Pentraeth Church.

As for most Anglesey churches, Pentraeth church is a small and simple church. The parish was not a rich one and therefore the church could not afford to pay to build a high tower. In the nave there is room for 180 to sit. Only since 1847 are there seats in the nave. At Pentraeth Church, as for every other church, the pulpit is on the left hand side of the church’s nave. There is coloured glass in each of the church’s windows but a few are particularly colourful, such as the window that was given as a gift in rememberance of Claud Panton Vivian,- "In memory of Claud Panton Vivian, Captain Royal Horse Artillary of Plas Gwyn, Pentraeth, aged 24 who gave his life at the Battle for Caen, July 1944."  There are several memorial stones inside the church to remember the people of Pentraeth who have died. Most of them are carved out of marble, e.g. The memorial stone or Hugh Williams, Ty Fry who died November 28th, 1768 and his son, John, who died March 5th, 1771. The parish priest currently is the Reverend Deiniol Prys who is a regular visitor to the school.
