THE KING OF THE DEEP.
Under the blue, dark, murky depth
Lies a fearsome hunter, a creature of death.
With its great white teeth and black marble eyes
He searches the seabed for his unsuspecting prize.
Suddenly, it glistens , he turns to stare,
A poor defenceless creature enters his lair.
Its grey sleek body arched to attack
Plunging headlong towards his tasty snack.
The dive that he makes , to rip and to tear
The fish lying under remains unaware.
Then! The bite, too sudden, to swift to cause fright
The might of this killer allows no struggle, no flight.
King of the ocean deep, brutal not fair
Showing no mercy , unwilling to share.
This thief , this killer, king or beast
Once more he begins looking for the next feast.
But wait! A sound! Too frightening to dare
A hunter now hunted from humans up there!
Escape! Escape! for these hunters have just begun
But no! No escape nowhere to hide or run.
Revenge at last! Revenge finally done!
With harpoon inside, the sea turns from blue to red
Predator turned prey , now officially dead,
Taken from his kingdom, his realm, his glory,
But surely this cant be the end of his story!
Fish, swim, feeling safe from the slain,
or could he be waiting to be king once again!
