The CYNNAL SIMS Support Unit is a professional, fully bilingual service providing pro-active advice and support to schools and Local Authorities to fully utilise their Management Information Systems. The service is delivered by an experienced team which have extensive levels of expertise in many areas of school management. This includes advising on the application of the software and the information it contains to support the management of whole school effectiveness, for example, assessments, attendance, finance, behaviour, timetabling together with assisting schools to meet with their statutory requirements for Welsh Government and ESTYN.
The team offers bilingual training courses and documentation in all modules. Courses are normally held at Cynnal, but can also be tailored for on-site school specific needs.
A dedicated full time telephone helpdesk to support all users is provided from 8.30am – 16.30pm.
Technical support is provided to support installations, operation and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
In order that schools are kept up to date with the developments in technology, members of the team regularly attend user group meetings and software updates
